A girls flag football team will be starting at Obama Academy. Games will be held on Sundays. The team and the league are sponsored by the Steelers as a part of its larger effort to make girls flag football a varsity sport. The Steelers are committing substantial resources to the effort: playoff and championship games will be played at Acrisure Stadium and there will be scrimmages before Steelers games in the fall. 

The league is made up of 24 teams from around the Pittsburgh area. Games will start the second week of April and will be on Sundays. Additionally, a four-team tournament will be hosted at Obama. 

The team is open to players in grades 9-12. There is no cost of entry! If you are interested in playing, please contact Mr. Ehman.
